What Can Go in Your Skip?
Tell us what you’re throwing away before booking. Special items and heavy loads need extra care.

Agree the contents before you load
Tell us what you have
- Household clear-out waste
- Garden cuttings
- Wood and metal
- Renovation waste
Agree the contents when you book. Weight limits and mixed loads still matter.
Some items need a separate plan
- Soil, rubble and concrete
- Plasterboard
- Mattresses and upholstered furniture
- Electrical items, fridges and tyres
Call first to check which items we can take, how to separate them and any extra charge.
Do not put these in your skip
- Asbestos or suspected asbestos
- Paint, solvents and oils
- Gas bottles and batteries
- Fuel, chemicals and liquids
These need a suitable separate disposal route. Never hide them in an ordinary skip.
Stop at the fill line
Keep every item below the top loading line. Do not balance doors, boards or furniture over the sides, and do not burn waste in the skip.
If the load is unsafe or contains restricted waste, it may need changing before collection. Agree the loading rules and any extra charges in advance.
Plan safe filling and collection
Heavy waste is different
Cubic yards measure space, not weight. A skip full of soil or rubble can weigh much more than one holding packaging or old furniture. Tell us if you have dense material so a suitable size and load limit can be agreed.

Describe the item before loading it. Do not hide a restricted item in mixed waste.
