Heavy waste needs the right skip

Soil, rubble and concrete

A full load may be too heavy for the skip or lorry. Agree the waste type and weight allowance before filling.

Bigger is not always suitable

The 10–16-yard skips give more room for light, bulky waste. Do not assume they can take a full load of building rubble.

Check waste and loading advice

Leave room for the lorry

A skip can fit into a space that the delivery vehicle cannot reach. Tell us about gates, overhead cables, parked cars and turning room. Confirm the delivery arrangements before booking.
